25 Things I Hope To Do When We Close The Distance

Here’s a sappy post from a girl who misses her other half. Don has been going through a stressful time at work and I am feeling like the WORST girlfriend ever because I can’t do anything. I can’t hug him to make him feel better. Make him a nice cup of tea to de-stress him. Can’t sit next to him to watch Netflix. I feel so helpless… I can only offer him kind words of encouragement and affection. THAT’S IT! And I know, he needs more than just words. :( I tried to send him flowers, but because he is living in the freaking countryside. There was a little confusion and mix up, he didn’t get the flowers on the day it was supposed to be delivered.

Right now, Don and I are in a limbo. Waiting to close the distance to be together. We are hoping to close it by end-of-the-year. We are hoping that everything goes smoothly. We are hoping that one of our side projects kicks off for potential business opportunities. There is so much ‘hope’ in our relationship that it’s hard to put weight on the whole ‘meaning’ of it. The word ‘hope’ is supposed to give a positive desire for things to happen or an expectation, but in our current situation it carries the same weight as the word ‘limbo’. Neither here nor there.

I can’t wait to get out from this limbo of hopes and build our life together. There are so many things I want to do with Don, like below...

1. Cook for each other. Asian = Me. Western = Don.
2. Decorate our house
3. Get a cat!!!
4. Go on as many road  trips as we can.
5. Eat good food.
6. Go to as many cafes and drink lots of good coffee together
7. Go to yoga together.
8. Watch movies together
9. Speak in our language
10. Shop together
11. Tell each other bad, lame jokes
12. Take many long walks by the beach
13. Play a Super Mario together
14. Go out dancing
15. Give massages
16. Sit together in silence
17. Cuddle
18. Inspire each other
19. Play at the play groud
20. Eat frozen yogurt
21. Grocery shopping
22. Go for a show
23. Laugh out loud
24. Tell each other I love you
25. Start a family
