OCTOBER GOALS!

Sunday, 4 October 2015

Can't believe September is over and October is here. October is starting off great. I welcomed the month with a much-needed visit to my new favourite hair salon, Number76. I've been wanting to get my hair done for a while now, I'm so glad that I did it! Check it out here. Besides having, great hair, I am going to see Don this month. I am all about well-planned trips, but this time it's pretty last minute that I am going with the flow. Exciting times ahead with monthly goals to achieve below...

01 No excessive shopping
I am not a big shopper to begin with, but I am the sort who would buy one thing at a time and it'll slowly accumulate into a big pile of I-have-too-many-things-in-my-room. I don't need 4 white shirts in different styles. So...no excessive shopping. This girl is going on a shopping ban. Wish me luck!

02 Get up earlier
I am NOT a morning person. Waking up early is hard for me and I want to change that. For the past few months, I have been training myself to wake up earlier. My alarm would ring at 830am, but I would only get up 9-930am (which I consider late) because I take 30-40 minutes to get ready. I want to wake up earlier - 7-8am. I can do much more!

03 Hit minimum of 8k steps
I wear a miband to track my steps and I can't seem to hit my target. I am active but apparently not active enough. I am going to keep a conscious mind to use the stairs and walk whenever I can. I need to stay fit for myself. I need to be MORE active!!

04 Build more lego sets
Haha, this might be a little random. It really is!! A few days back, my niece brought her Lego set over to my house to play. The lego set ended up being too adult for her (she is turning she and her set is for 7 years old, too many small pieces) so being the nice, kind aunty, I told her I would build it for me. I didn't expect much from it, but as I was building it...

I realised that it is so therapeutic! It took me about 20 minutes to build this little Lego house and it was the best 20 minutes I spend in a long time. It was challenging, fun and you feel this great sense of accomplishment when it's done! I think I may have found a new hobby.
