| Elephant Rocks in Denmark |
Elephant Pool is a sight seeing spot in a town called Denmark. Why it's called Elephant Rocks because it looks exactly like a herd of elephants paddling in the shallow waters. It's located in Willam Bay National Park about 15km west of the Denmark town cenre.
Address:
William Bay Road | Denmark, William Bay National Park, Western Australia 6333, Australia
When Don first told me that he is moving to country town 5 hours south of the city, I was skeptical but excited for him. Country towns in Australia don't have much to offer, especially entertainment wise. It's at least a 30-40 minutes drive to the nearest mall (I love my shopping malls) or cinemas. You can tell how much of a city I am when I worry about these things. I wanted to be a supportive a girlfriend and tried to be enthusiastic about his move. I googled places to do in Denmark and the number one place that came up in every travel blog, tourism centre, and a google search was Elephant Rocks.
I love anything with a view! Knowing we didn't have much time to do sight-seeing when I was there, I begged him to take me there. A quick look before the sun goes down. Off we went! We have to walk up a little hill to get to the view spot. Winter was ending, but there were still chilly winds blowing. I was freezing and hungry! When we got to the spot, the cold and hunger went away. I love looking at gorgeous views like the photos above. My photos don't do justice in capturing the beauty. It was so relaxing and calming. I felt so at ease with the world. I had my other half with me. It was perfect!
Denmark makes up for its lack of entertainment with its gorgeous sights. I can't wait to go back again and explore more. Hint!
