It was my first trip to Cottesloe that made me fall in love with Perth, seven years ago. I remember being so overwhelmed by its majestic view. Blue skies. Soft white sand. Clear waters. I took SO many photos at the beach, so I can document how beautiful the view and the atmosphere. I grew up in the urban jungle where we have to drive out for hours to see a decent looking beach. Seeing the horizon, how blue and sunny the beach was, it was love at first sight for me.

| Elephant Rocks in Denmark |
Elephant Pool is a sight seeing spot in a town called Denmark. Why it's called Elephant Rocks because it looks exactly like a herd of elephants paddling in the shallow waters. It's located in Willam Bay National Park about 15km west of the Denmark town cenre.

Visiting My Long Distance Boyfriend: Perth in 13 Photos
Monday, 26 October 2015
I just got back from my short and sweet trip from Perth! It felt SO good to see Don and be in his arms again. Gosh, I didn't know how much I miss him until I saw him. The reason why I went to Perth on such a short notice was to play wifey to Don. Don got a new job back in the city and before he moves up, I wanted to see the town he worked in for the past year and spend some time with him. While I was there, I helped him pack up his house, gave him moral support and lotsa love for his new job.
I can go without Twitter, Snapchat, Tumblr and Facebook for days, but not Instagram! Instagram is my favourite social media ever. I am always on the lookout for cool, colourful Instagram accounts to follow. I think this has to do with my love for taking photos. As usual, I took many photos of everything! I like having a platform where I can easily see photos of good memories. Creating my own hashtag to document holidays, memories and events! A few months back, I decided to post only good memories because I want my Instagram feed to be a positive one. My trip to Perth looked like we had a wonderful time together. We look like a typical couple in love. We did have a great time together! And we are a typical couple in love! Perth is such a beautiful city and so Instagram-able!! But I am not going to post photos of us quarrelling or me having an anxiety attack. My little advice is to not always believe what you read or see on the internet.
Below are some Instagram photos of my recent trip in Perth!

Blue for Miles in Bunker Bay
Saturday, 14 March 2015

After the wedding, we had the day to ourselves and Don wanted to show me around his family's friend place. Their place is on top of a hill over-looking the gorgeous Bunker Bay. Seriously...it was blue for miles!
One of my housemates when I was in Perth is from Dunsborough. Her boyfriend lives in Dunsborough and she would drive down and up every other weekend to see him. Being a slight feminist, I asked her a few times, why can't he come up to Perth for a change. After seeing the town and the beach, I can totally understand why he doesn't want to come up to the City and why she was willing to drive down.

#TeamDunco Wedding at Wise Winery Eagle Bay, Dunsborough
Monday, 9 March 2015
Remember when I was ranting about not getting the dress I wanted to wear for Don's brother's wedding. Well, well, well... this girl waited and waited and waited and the dress came online!! It only came in XL, two sizes too big. *sad face* It was such a beautiful dress to give up. I told myself, fuck it. I'm getting it! So I bought it, got it altered and I was good to go. But alteration took longer than usual and I only got my dress a day before i was leaving to Perth! Stress...
I was in Perth again for Don's friend's wedding and to see my baby, of course! The wedding was at the beautiful Wise Winery Eagle Bay in Dunsborough, 3 hours down south from Perth. Beautiful town! Beach. People. I love western weddings. It's simple, quick, no protocols, no awkward speeches from the emcee and fun! I had so much fun that night that I needed Don to help me back to the room. Hehehe... >.<

Natural Spring
Sunday, 8 February 2015
One of the reasons why I was in Perth in December was to attend Don's brother's wedding. The wedding was like a scene in the movies, it was PERFECT. Great weather, simple yet elegant, everything ran smoothly and timely and sigh, it was so wonderful. This might be a benchmark wedding for me.
Leading up to the day i was leaving for Perth, i was busy with work. I had deadlines to meet before leaving and at the same time, had to run errands, buy a dress, and pack! I only managed to pack the night before my flight! (I left a few things behind cause of that). Getting my dress was quite a challenge. Pei Yee showed me this gorgeous dress on Doublewoot. I was dead set on getting it, but when i wanted to check out, my size was sold out (!!!!!!!!!!). OMG..now i had to go out and look for a dress #firstworldproblems. Not having a dress, set me back big time and made me a little panicking.
I was super duper lucky, the same week I was leaving. My office had to shut due to some power problems in the building. We had to work from home, haha in between "work" i snuck away to Paradigm Mall and managed to find the dress below. I was in and out from the mall under 1 hour. Shopping under pressure = greatest finds.

Nothing says love in this modern world by a man who believes that a healthy relationship is no sign of it on facebook by changing his Facebook status to In a Relationship. Now its that awkward conversation in firguring out what date we started dating. Month - check. Date - ?

OHSHITmoment!
Monday, 29 September 2014
I think every girl has this sentimental part in her where she likes to keep her girlfriends, boyfriend, family and things they love close to her.
My girlfriends and i have been friends since primary school. We were close, but it was one small incident that happened on June 15th 2005 that made us even closer. Since then we called each other the "circle" and when we turned 21, we decided to get a necklace to represent our friendship in a circle symbol. BUT of course, girls being girls... we couldnt decide on a single design, hahaha! So i decided to just get my own necklace to represent my forever girls.
I got a cliche initial necklace to represent Don and i. Got a significance amount of teasing from my friends for wearing that necklace but hey, i like it, screw you guys!
The earrings i am wearing in the picture above were from my parents for my first graduation present. I say first because i have been to THREE graduation ceremonies! I was pleasantly surprised when my mom told me that she was going to buy me diamond earrings because i survived 3 years in Melaka (think city girl who has never been away from home thrown into Malay government university 2 hours from home) without complaining. Ever since i got them, i have been wearing them almost every day...
I had an OHSHITFUCK moment with these earrings in Perth. Don and i were watching TV and i dont know, i just had this feeling to touch my ears. OHSHITFUCK, my left side earring was missing!!!! I panicked and had a thousand thoughts going through my mind... omg omg how the hell am i going to find my earring???? its like a needle in a haystack in house!! why are the floors freaking carpeted!?! omg what happens if it dropped in the shower?!?!? and went down the drain!?!!?!!
After minutes of frantic searching, we found it in the shower!!!!! The scariest part about the situation was.. I had my shower first. Then Don had his... it could have washed away with his shower water...into the drain *horror* I was so overwhelmed with emotionS that I broke down crying. Don had to make me chamomile tea to calm me down and gave me tight cuddles.

DAILY COFFEE
Saturday, 20 September 2014
Don is a heavy coffee drinker while i am not. I like going to cafes to look at their interior designs and take pictures of them. So this works well for the both of us. The Daily in Swanbourne has a wall of raw bricks at the corner of their shop. I LOVE! Something about brick walls reminds me of my childhood and i find it very comforting. I am caffeine sensitive, one cup of coffee after 4pm, i will be wide awake until 4am.
My tolerance/love for coffee started when i started hanging out with Don. After class, we would go down to a cafe and catch up with our classmates over coffee. I got sick of drinking hot chocolate after a while and decided to just try a latte. i was hooked! I evolved from hot chocolate with soy milk to mocha to flat white and now black coffee with milk. My tolerance is getting way better, I now need (good) coffee in the morning to function better.
Check out The Daily's Instagram here.
