10 Things To Do When You Feel Like Crap

Been crappy and upset over something that I have no control over. I hate that being in a situation where you feel so helpless and there’s nothing you can do. I hate it when I feel down because people around me will get the wrath of unhappy Kay. My poor friends and poor Don! When I am feeling down, I try not to dwell on the feeling. I think being unhappy does not benefit anything! I always find things to do or surround myself with happiness and positivity. Like below...



01 Breathe
I was at the verge of crying when my unfortunate incident happened. I knew the waterworks won't stop once I shed that first tear. I moved myself from the situation and did my yoga breathing. 

02 Talk to your favourite person
Right after I calmed myself down, I took out my phone and called Don. Talking to him instantly made me feel better. I was emotional and was going to make angry decisions. Don told me to chill, breathe and sleep on it. 

03 Retail therapy
Well...haha! one or two pairs of shoes are good for the soul, no? You don't have to make a big purchase. Just something small to cheer you up again. I always have my Zalora or Asos's wishlist ready for this kind of days. 

04 Clean
In my fit of anger and disappointment, I gave my room a good cleaning. I put on my Kanye West's playlist and got to it. I put away my luggage from my recent trip to Bangkok. I did my laundry. Sorted through heaps of clothes to donate. Spring cleaning is like a workout, I felt so much better after that AND i have a clean room! 

05 Write
I believe that writing helps when you're feeling shitty or overwhelmed. I managed to get ahead of my work emails and a week's worth of content! You don't have to write a long essay, but little notes or lists just for you to let it all out. Maybe this can be the perfect time to a letter to your SO.

06 Binge-watch Netflix
Oh Netflix, what would I do without you? I love my crime tv series - CSI, Law and Order, Criminal Minds, Sherlock... I can sit on my bed for hours watching Netflix and that's what I did. I went through a whole season of Criminal Minds.

07 Listen to music
Ever since Don gifted me this amazing Bose speakers. I listen to more music. I have my own 30-second dance party. My own karaoke sessions. Music!

08 Eat your favourite food
Don't eat your emotions away, but treat yourself to your favourite food! Buy that delicious cake you saw at your local bakery. Drink that latte. Do you want that sugar doughnut? Get it! It's a treat from you, for you.

09 Yoga
I love yoga. I go in the class with a heavy feeling as soon as the class is over. I feel so light, stretched and happy. If yoga is not your thing, do a sport that you love. Leave all the bad juju at the gym!

10 Cuddle with your animal
A quick cuddle with my cat is all I need!
