Last weekend was a full on packed one for me. I had to attend three weddings in two days. I was one of the bride maids to the beautiful bride. I am not one to feel sappy or emotional at weddings, but for the past two weddings that I have been heavily involved. I get teary eyed or really emotional when the guy says the solemnization of matrimony. The couple has been my friends for a while and seeing them together, married. I feel utmost happiness and joy for them.

Unplugging
Friday, 30 October 2015
It's been a busy week for me and I need a chill pill. There're so many things going on in my mind that I need to GETITDONERIGHTNOW but can't. So I'm fidgety and restless. The other day, I left my laptop charger at work. I left work with only 20% battery on my laptop. It didn't take very long for my laptop battery to go flat. I was forced to have a No-screen night. I picked up a book and read. Something I have not done in a while! I love reading and enjoy a good book, but there this thing called the internet that's distracting me.
Get your hustle on!

I have dreams, goals and plans. Finally, I am at an age where I have the resources to work towards my dreams. It has always been one of my dreams to start a t-shirt line. Back in my uni days, my friends and I would design t-shirts together and sell them at weekend markets. We went on for a few months but slowly disband because we didn't know how to balance work and party.
Breathe, Take it easy
Monday, 7 September 2015
Hello, Monday! I just got home from a 4D3N holiday with my family at Club Med Cherating. Club Med is an all-inclusive holiday resort. Which means... you only pay one time for EVERYTHING. The minute you step in the hotel lobby, your food, drink and activities is FREE! People at the hotel are so nice and friendly. Everyone was kind with their smiles and laughter. I did nothing except swim, eat, drink and sleep. I am sporting a beautiful brown tan and feeling significantly relaxed.

Storms Don't Last Forever
Thursday, 20 August 2015
Don was here in KL to visit after being away for 5 months. He has since left me to go back to work. When he was here, we did so many things - catch up with family and friends, eat, hang out with each other and even went on a short weekend holiday. After spending weeks together 24/7, letting him go back to Perth, Australia was the hardest thing. We've visited each other many times over the course of our long distance relationship. I've learned to turn off my emotions and not burst into tears. I went on a staycation with some friends. I mentioned that I wanted to kick off my wanderlust, but really it was just a distraction for my first weekend alone without Don. It was a long drive back and the van we were in had a complete tv and good sound system. Is it, me or do you watch the most random things on road trips? Haha, on the way back, we watched Adele Royal Albert Hall concert on DVD. Of course, that triggered many unforeseen emotions. Oh, Adele! The things you make me feel..
Becoming A Morning Person
Monday, 10 August 2015
I often find myself wishing there were more hours to the day, so i can do more things. Things like hanging out with friends and family, finishing up my work, do different kinds of exercise, spend time with Don, etc. I would complain to people around me that I don't have time to do anything because the minute I wake up > shower > breakfast > go to work > lunch > go home > rest/play futsal > sleep > REPEAT. When in reality, I do have time! Work doesn't start until 1030am for me. I am blessed to work (for myself) with flexible time. I waste a whole morning by waking up at 9-930am and only give myself enough time to get ready for work. If I wake up slightly earlier, I can clock in a yoga class, a blog post, make an awesome breakfast or read a book and even have a long morning Facetime session with Don.
Love Don't Know What Distance Is
Monday, 3 August 2015
Don left a few days ago after weeks of wonderful, blissful time together. It was one of the best times we spend together. We have always been a close couple. We were friends before we got together, spending (a lot of) time together comes naturally to us. I think we grew even closer after this visit. I know a few couples who can't stand being around their partners for an extended period of time. Don is my best friend. Everything we do together is double the fun! Prior to the recent visit, our last visit was five months ago. It was too long. It felt like forever! I missed him so much that the word "miss" can't justify how much I was missing and yearning for him. The weeks, he was here went by so fast, I am trying hard to remember what we did so I can reminisce them.
Better Together
Tuesday, 21 July 2015
It's been an amazing few days with Don here! After 5 months apart, you forget how to be around the person. It needs to get used to. It took us a couple of days to get used to each other and after that, everything felt natural! Don is just an easy guy to do things with. Always up for an adventure and will try things twice.
Ever since we started dating until now, we've been in communication EVERY DAY. We talk every day. Texting/Facebook messaging. We are constantly connected. Which means we talk a lot and know everything there is to know about each other. From our kindergarten crush, favourite food, the girl who broke his heart, his gym's timetable and etc. If you ask me anything about Don, I can confidently answer.
Soon, baby!

A day away until I am back in Don's arms. I am trying to contain my excitement, but it is so hard! I find myself more productive this week. Things i have been putting off, i managed to get done. Did all my errands! In fact, i have laid out all my outfits and things i'll be needing for the next coming days (it's going to be a busy weekend). That's how excited i am!! (Is there another word for excited?? I feel like i am overusing the word!) I am usually a night owl. I will stay up until wee hours in the morning doing work, writing posts, editing stuff, etc. Now, I am in bed by 12am (this is considered early for me) so the day goes by faster. It's also super cute that my friends are excited for me. Whenever we hang out, they would constantly ask me to bring Don out with them when he gets to KL. It was one of them who gave me the idea of preparing a care package for Don. Something like a welcome package! A care package!
Plan To Be Surprised
Saturday, 11 July 2015
Don is coming here in a few days and I am BEYOND excited. It's the first time, we are seeing each other in months and this is the longest we've ever been apart. Never again! It's going to be a food trip for him. Malaysia, a multicultural country is pretty known for its food because of the cultural influences. We have Malay, Chinese, Indian and a mixture of all three cultures! So, i have a full itinerary of breakfast, lunch, dinner for him. The last time he visited me, Donny boy here complained, saying that i didn't feed him enough. He is a big man with a huge appetite, i can't keep up with! I've been saving new restaurants, cafes here in KL to try with him. So excited!! We get to be a normal couple for a couple of weeks.
Never Lose Your Sense Of Wonder
Thursday, 9 July 2015
Consider this post as motivation for great things to come! I resigned from a job i really disliked last week with no concrete plans. My old job did a number to my creativity and sense of wonder. I felt trapped and i am so glad i am out of it. The people i worked with were wonderful, but it was the job.
Find Joy In The Simplest Things
Sunday, 5 July 2015
Don and I have been together for over a year and currently going through our longest stint apart = 5 months. We promised each other that we will *try* to see each other every 3 months, but this time around we couldn't due to our jobs. When we said goodbye at the airport, I was dreading the flight home because i was going back to reality. It was back to having a relationship with my iPhone and iPad.
From there, I was on a roll to find things to distract myself. I mostly did sports related things. I've been playing futsal for years and developed friendships from there. It kept me sanely and going! But you know, when you have a good thing going on for too long, it can get a little repetitive and boring. I felt like I needed something else to look forward to (other than my daily Futsal nights) spark up my routine or life. Retail therapy helped but a temporary fix. Over time, i stopped trying to find "happiness" and let life take over. It's when you don't try, joy creeps up to you. Below are four little joys that keep me going in our LDR.
5 Motivational Quotes That Help Me Through My Long-Distance Relationship
Tuesday, 14 April 2015
When Don and I first started our long distance relationship, it was hard. I needed something more than just our words to get me through the time until we see each other next. I did what other long distance couples do, I went to Mr. Google and searched motivational quotes for long distance couples. After reading through the 100 quotes for long distance couples, I didn't like any! Sure, there were a few that got to me. But, I felt like the quotes were so pretentious. It didn't click with what I was feeling at the moment. I told myself that I should just let it come to me. And it did! Over time, things happen and we get through them and boom - a motivational saying comes out from that.
Below are my 5 motivational quotes that help me through my long distance relationship...
