It's you and me, baby!

Many assume that you need only family and friends' for your long distance relationship. Of course you need support from them. It would be very hard for your long distance relationship if you don't have support from them. As it is, you are away from your partner and not getting family and friend's support is even harder.

What some don't realise is that you need support from your partner and vice versa. Support in your everyday decisions, when one is having a rough day or going through something. You need to support each other for the relationship to work. You have to be ready to give that moral and emotional support to your partner and be alert to pick it up whenever they need it, even if they think they don't. Sometimes, we don't know that we need support to go through something. We think we are strong enough to go through something alone, but we're not.

A few days back, I had my first official training for this football league my team is joining. My friend and I are co-managing it, it's a pretty big deal for us because we are very passionate about the sport. Being first-time managers, we realised that it is A LOT of work and it takes up A LOT of time. It got to a point where I didn't have time for Don. 

Other than writing for Blushingkay, playing sports, particularly football and futsal is one of my favourite things to do. Don is the driving force behind Blushingkay. If it was not for him, Blushingkay would be half dead. Having that support from him felt amazing. It made me put more effort in making my posts look nice and have this drive to share my experience in hopes to help others. Not having him around to support me playing football is really hard. I struggle with this daily. I am envious with my teammates when their partners come by and watch them play. Like I've mentioned before Don is ever encouraging with my love for football, but there is nothing like having him watching me play (even if I accidentally miss the ball and kick the air) and just being there to support me.

We have talked about this many times and it's a tough one. It's one of those things in long distance relationship where you just have to deal with it and go through it. This is when I start reading motivational quotes to inspire myself and get me through it. So, boys and girls, don't forget to support each other throughout your long distance relationship, because if no one else agrees on your long distance relationship, at least the both of you are fighting for it.
