One of my guilty pleasures is handbags. I see handbag as investments. If you pick the right handbag, they can last for something. Centuries. I stand by this because my mom has passed down her vintage handbags to me from her early 20s and they're still in great shape. They have little wear and tears from usage over the years, but nothing a bag spa can't fix. I got this love for handbags from my mom.
A couple weeks back, Mom and I went to a mall with the intention of "just going to buy a pair of ballet flats and head back home" <- those were her exact words. On the way to the store, we passed by Oroton - "let's have a look, just look."
"Let's have a look, just look", she says. We both walked out with a bag each. To my defense, I wanted a bucket bag for the LONGEST time. All the bags I fell in love were out of my budget and this bag had a great deal! It would've been a sin if I didn't get it.

This is my first "What's in My Handbag?" series! I believe that you can tell a lot about a girl by the content of her bag. I've only used this bag for a couple of weeks and boy, the amount of crumpled receipts, coins, and junk is unbelievable. I had to do some cleaning before I took the photo below.
In no particular order:
1. My Nintendo DS - A gift from Don and for me to play whenever I get bored of scrolling Facebook, Instagram or social media.
2. Sunglasses - Got to protect the eyes.
3. Power bank - How cute is my kitty cat power bank? I'm always on my phone and its always handy to have a power bank around in case your phone battery runs low.
4. Notebook and markers - I carry around a notebook everywhere. It's an old habit from my degree journalism days where my lecturer planted this need to always have a pen and paper with you, in case you have a story.
5. LCA+ camera - To take photos.
6. 'K' coin purse - I don't like carrying coins in my wallet because it makes my already bulky wallet even more bulky.
7. Phone - An essential
8. Make up bag - This bag holds my lip balm, pressed powder, blusher, eyeliner, lipstick of the day, tissues, pain killers, panty liners, hair goodies (hair ties, bobby pins) and a hand cream (most important!). I swear, if i lose this bag, i can't function.
9. Wallet - A definite essential
10. Card holder - Card holder to hold my discount cards.
I only carry what I need, if i add in more things to my bag, it would be really heavy. After a while, my shoulders and back will start to hurt. Hope this gives you a peek of what kind of girl i am. Kinda hard to describe someone who has a Gameboy, Lomography camera and lots of makeup in her bag.

I'm quite addicted to the whole "what's in my bag" - though I have to say for me it's all about what you can fit and therefore in which situation the bag would work for me. I have started doing videos based on that, though I have to say I'm quite Mulberry-biased. :)
ReplyDeleteLove your photography. :)

Me too! I love the series and am always checking out other bloggers' "what's in my bag" posts. I do agree with you, Mulberry bags are beautiful and can hold quite a things.
