Let me start by saying that Malaysia does not have YSL cosmetics. It’s almost like a blessing in disguise cause if they have it here, I will be spending $$$ on makeup. BUT they have it duty free at Malaysia’s airport. I wrote about the YSL Rouge Volupte in Forbidden Burgungy here.
That’s where my little story began. I heading to Perth to see Don and I had some time to kill before boarding my flight. This “time to kill” was perfectly planned by >me<, so I can walk around the Duty Free shops to see if anything tickled my fancy. Which obviously did!! The YSL Rouge Volupte in Ultimate Beige #3! You can read my thought on the texture and formula here.
The shade is mauve taupe with a hint of peachy pink. It’s almost like your natural lips but better. I wore this every day throughout my trip in Perth, you can see here and here! It’s super moisturizing and has a great lasting power! I’ve mentioned the silky, luscious and creamy formula when I reviewed the YSL Rouge Volupte in 12 (Forbidden Burgundy). The only thing I don’t like about it is the price @ Duty Free in Malaysia it is RM105. But I guess, you pay for the formula, lasting power and the brand as well.
I am slowly starting a nude, mauvey and your-lip-but-better collection. Gone are my bold, loud lipstick colours, here comes my muted, low key colours.
xx
