First of all, having clear skin is the key factor in achieving this 'no make up' makeup look. If you have a great skin regimen that keeps your skin looking great and flawless, you won't need much makeup anyways. One of the things I do to keep my skin clear is drink LOTS of water. 800ml x 2 worth of water. It's easy, cheap and good for you. Except for those annoying toilet breaks.
Always prep your skin with oil-free moisturiser and sunblock before you start your makeup routine. Even if you're not going out and staying in the whole day. You can get 'sunburn' by sitting in front of the computer hours end. Sunblock is ->key<-.
My workplace is so casual and full of tech-savvy boys that I feel like I am wasting good make-up when I wear a full face. Boys don't appreciate make ups. I wear make up for to look good for other girls. I need something that is fast, easy and still makes me feel like I put in some effort. A girl still needs to feel pretty!
Step 1: Get the nearly naked skin.
You need a good and light coverage foundation or tinted moisturiser. If you have a good complexion, you can use tinted moisturiser but if your skin needs a little more coverage, go for a liquid foundation with a natural finish. If you spots or blemishes, use a cream concealer to cover up and blend it well.
Step 2. Don't skip your brows
I am blessed with thick eyebrows that don't need much attention but still needs some grooming. A quick fill where necessary and a quick brush to make sure all the hairs are going in one direction.
Step 3. Add a little colour
Apply a light brush of nude/flesh colour blusher on the apples of your cheeks. I like to apply my blush at the hollow of cheeks to give the illusion of a more structured look. Choose a blusher without shimmer to give a natural flush.
Step 4. Enhance your lashes
I have next to nothing eyelashes. I like to add definition to my eyes by brushing some mascara lightly over the top and bottom of my lashes. Just enough to give them a good curl.Step 4. Enhance your lashes
Step 5. Pucker up your lips
You can choose a nude tone lipstick or lip gloss. If you like to add some colour to your look (like how I do), go for a pink or coral lip tint for a pop of colour.
