November Goals

Monday, 2 November 2015

Hello, November! Did you guys have a great Halloween? Sadly this year I didn't get to dress up and party because I had a wedding to attend. I had a great time at the wedding, though. So many laughter, tears, and love. The groom's mother cried during the speech. You could feel everyone's hearts breaking. I am pretty sure that tears were shed when the groom got up to hug his mother. That's when you know you married the right guy. You can tell a man by how he treats his mother. That was my fruitful Halloween night.

Here're my monthly goals for November.

BLOG

01 Layout
I have been wanting to change my layout for months now. I have been looking for that 'perfect' theme. Something that shouts a well-thought-out layout, design, and content. After months of searching, I found the one but it needs lots of tweaking to make it 'Blushingkay' style. I am hoping to have it up by mid-November, so stay tuned for that.

02 Traffic to blog
I noticed a drop of traffic when I was away visiting Don. I think it was mainly due to me not blogging consistently that particular week. It affected my whole month of page views and visitors KPI. I want to try and push my blog to other platforms and FB groups to reach out to more people. Anybody have tips for this, please let me know! I would really appreciate it.

03 Comment on other blogs
I want to build a community and network with other bloggers and a way for me to do that is by commenting on other's people's blog. I enjoy blog surfing, it doesn't hurt to write a comment or two if I really like the post or can relate to it.

LIFE

01 Health
I know I always put health in my every month monthly's goals. Health is very important to me and I am trying all sorts of ways to keep myself on track and not binge on unhealthy food. You know what they say? The best foods are always the greasiest. I made that up, but you get what I mean.

I want to start curbing my carbs cravings. I love carbs. Rice, bread, chips, pastries and more. I love it. I want to try to have carbs for one meal a day then slowly 3 meals a week to one meal a week. Good luck to me. At the same time, I want to cut down sugar significantly in my diet. No more sweet drinks. Desserts. Potato chips. Mochas (my fav type of coffee). This is going to be really hard because I am a sweet tooth. But to my health!

02 Walk more
Last month, I said I wanted to hit my target of 8k steps a day. After a month of tracking, my average is 5k steps daily. So little steps! This month I must hit 8k steps daily. This can be done by me parking a little further to the entrance when I am at the mall, go on daily morning walks, or just move around more.

I am also looking to get a better fitness band, anybody can recommend me a good one?

03 Time Management
My time management is so poor! I want to do so many things at once and it's overwhelming me. I am the sort who wants to DOTHISRIGHTNOW because I get excited and years of working at a startup have brainwashed me into thinking that everything is achievable overnight. It can't. For things to realistically turn into magic takes time. Manage time properly is a top priority (hey, it rhymes!)

I need to plan out my work, projects, social life and relationship properly.

04 Plan for 2016
With only less than two months into the year new year! I see exciting things happening in 2016 and I can't wait.

What are your plans for November? Are you guys already planning for 2016? Let me know what your plans are!
