The year 2015 is coming to an end, I thought I get a head start on my New Year resolutions. 2015 has been a good year, but I want 2016 to be a better year. I decided to break down my planning into sections starting with beauty! This year I focused a lot of makeup and neglected my skincare. As most of you beauty lovers know, the first step in getting a gorgeous full on makeup face is having good skin. I thought I'd share with you, my beauty resolution below!
2016 Beauty Resolution
1. Use up everything I have. A month back, I did a makeup detox and got away makeups I didn't use, unopened or not suitable for my skin to my friends and family. Now I have a collection that doesn't overwhelm me.
2. Only buy what I need. I have a bad habit of buying things in a doubles because just in case it gets discontinued or I run out. But that doesn't happen because I am always on the lookout for new products to try. I am going to say bye to this habit! No more hoarding.
3. Wash my brushes every two weeks. This might be one of the reasons why I get minor breakouts, but I have set a reminder on my phone every fortnightly, so I don't forget!
4. Wear my lipsticks. I have enough lipsticks to wear a different colour every day. I am going to make it a point to rotate my lipsticks and give it all love.
5. Moisturise my body daily. Especially my feet. I wear sandals almost every day, so they exposed are all the time making them dry.
6. Rotate my products on the daily. I am already starting this habit and I really want to stick to this because gosh, it's so fun to try "new" old things weekly.
7. Invest in good shampoo. I wished I have done this earlier and saved me grief and money. My hair is bleached and dyed ash brown. A good shampoo will maintain my hair colour longer and save me expensive trips to my hair salon.
8. Wear sunblock every day. I will admit, I often forget and skip this step in my skin care routine. I am starting to see little effects of not wearing sunblock daily on my skin.
9. Stop saving my "good" products for the best. I had a gorgeous Chanel palette that I saved for events. I only go to big events 3-4 times a year, so most of the time, that palette is just sitting in my makeup drawer looking pretty until it got old and smelt funky that I had to throw it out.
10. Invest and maintain a simple effective skincare routine.
