Okay, I will admit that the title of my playlist is not the most creative. But hey, it works. I have a certain genre of music i *love* that most of my colleagues can tell if a certain song or album is playing - "oh, this must be Khaira's playlist". Of course, when you get into a relationship, your influence of music will start to change as well. Don is a HUGE music fan and movie fan. If i ever need new music to listen to, he is my go-to person. I don't know how he does it, but he always has new music to listen to. While me, if i have an artist or an album i *love* (i usually do things on the extreme) i will listen to them for weeks. I would play them on my office's sonos and make everyone *love* them as well!

Here is the part two of the #LDRBNSummerLove instagram challenge! The second half of the week was alot more fun to do because I had to dig old photos of Don and I from my old phone. And that's one of my favourite things to do. Scrolling through photos of us because i am a cheesy cheeseball. I realised that i didnt go in much detail about what each photo meant for Part 1, so i thought i'll do it for Part 2.
4 Ways To Maintain Your Long Distance Relationship.
Friday, 19 June 2015
How do you guys do it? - is one of the many questions I often get asked by people around me. I would reply them, “I honestly don’t know”. We are closing into 5 months being apart. 5 months too long. Along those 4-5 months of being apart, I found a few ways on how couples can maintain their long distance relationship without driving each other up the wall with insecurities, jealousy and loneliness. I’ve mentioned this almost a thousand times and I will keep mentioning it again and again. Long distance relationship is really hard. It takes a lot of willpower, perseverance and trust to make it work. Another important element to long distance relationship is strength. You need to be strong for yourself and your partner in order for your LDR to work. It takes effort and hard work for you to maintain your LDR.
Below are a few ways (or tips) on how Don and I maintain our LDR. I hope they are useful to you and your partner as they are to us!

If you are an avid reader of Blushingkay (i hope you are!), you might have noticed that some of my posts state "Inspired by this LDR Writing Prompt" that is because I am one of the influencers for this LDR community called LDR Blog Network. It's a platform for couples in long distance relationships to support each other and share our stories.
It's really great to see how other couples go through their long distance relationship. After reading their stories, I feel realllllly blessed to just have Don a 5-hour plane flight away, no time difference and had some sort of a feel on being a normal couple. If you have some time to spare and enjoy good love stories, check out the website! They recently launched an Instagram challenge for LDR couples. My favourite social media is Instagram, so i didnt need any convincing to join. I love designing my photos and editing them. We're 3 days in the challenge, you can keep with my challenge here and check other LDRBN bloggers' photos here.

01. Work on my LDR/Beauty E-book.
Somewhere along the past couple of months, Don managed me convince me to write an E-book. Writing an E-book has always been part of Blushingkay’s plans (when I have more time to myself). I did some research on E-books, E-book designs, gathered up my content and gave myself a one-month deadline. Halfway through writing, organizing my content. I realized it was A LOT more work. There are so many E-book templates that i can easily plonk my content in. But I want to do this myself from scratch! So, yes, the goal is now to finish up the E-book. If you’re interested in LDR or Beauty E-book, send me a comment of your email below and i will send it to you once it’s done!
