I L-O-V-E food. I live to eat, not eat to live. But I also love doing sports and trying to keep ‘healthy’. It's an ongoing battle I’ve been going through for years. Just my luck, I found someone who shares the passion for food as I do and desire to stay ‘healthy’ and fit. I go through this phase where I will let go and just eat eat eat eat eat eat and then go oh-shit! I need to lighten up again! I usually go through this ‘phrase’ whenever I am with Don. Haha!

One of my fondest time with Don was our crazy phrase of Frozen Yogurt. Every night for a week, after dinner, we would drive out to the closest Tutti Frutti, each gets a cup of frozen yogurt each and regret it later. Sometimes, we would take our frozen yogurt and eat it at home, walk around the mall and eat or find a spot somewhere and slowly eat it.
Other than the fact, we are enjoying a cup of frozen goodness each, we were enjoying each other company. I noticed that whenever we least try to have an ‘adult conversation’ (our future, potential business ideas, life, how we should start our own frozen yogurt franchise) is when we have the best and most effective ‘adult conversation’. I swear, there was one night, we seriously considered opening our own frozen yogurt franchise. That’s how obsessed we were with our Tutti Frutti. Anyways, back to my point...There is something about bonding over something you both are passionate about (in our case, frozen yogurt) and having an honest conversation around it.
This is one of the things I miss most whenever we are away from each other. I miss having open, free conversations with Don. I am not saying that we don’t have honest conversations now, but there is nothing like 1:1 conversations with your boo. Don is coming to see me soon after 5 months apart. We deserve a medal for being apart this long! I can’t wait to see what ‘food phrase’ we go through this time and what ‘adult conversations’ will come out of it.
