It's so hard to get all my girlfriends together in a place. We all have different schedules and working at different parts of town. The one time where all of us would block our dates are birthdays! We have a tradition of "surprising" each other at midnight with cake and whoever thats there will...scoff down the cake together and later on have a nice dinner/lunch together.
Having our own personal event planner Nash (Founder of Helium & Konfetti, she does awesome parties!) our birthdays are more eventful and colourful now. Some people are just creative on a different level. Nash is one of them. Check out their instagram here!
I havent been around for my friends' birthday in a while and decided to go all out. For pictures sake, i decided to put on (more) make up, nice outfit, straighten my hair and wear heels. I didnt last long in my heels before i switched to my trusty slippers. :( #lookedtootallinphotos #friendsaretooshort #neededtobalanceitout We got alphabet balloons in Dahlia's name and boy, did we have fun with her name. We tried to come out with whatever words with Dahlia's name.
I got many compliments on my make up that day and its because of the StriVectin CC cream. It was a day of boredom and needing something to brighten up my mood lead to this wonderful purchase. I have always been a big fan of BB creams and was a little hesitant to try it. Im such a sucker, i was so easily influenced by the sephora sales lady. She said it would brighten, fix/correct my imperfections, SPF and has anti-aging properties. She said many other nice things about the product and i was "okay! okay! yeap! Just take my money!"
Why i was hesitant to get the StriVectin CC cream was because all the CC creams i tried before always gave me a white/gray cast. I was really pleased when the evil sales lady swatched a little on my hand, the product blended in so well! Unconvinced, i asked her to apply some on my face and let me walk around the shop. I took photos of myself and send it to my girlfriends asking if i looked like i was wearing foundation. My girlfriends are the most honest people in my life. They gave me great feedback. A box of StriVectin found itself in my basket. :)
