Tried writing my new year resolution and it turned out to be a bore. I want to achieve so many unrealistic things this year that i decided, blah forget it. Just do whatever makes you happy and dont break the law. You guys must be sick, i talk about Don all the time, but oh well, he is my biggest inspiration. #sorrynotsorry #angau I told him I was writing my new year resolution, failing badly. And he suggested i write good habits i want to pick up in 2015. I never thought of that, see what i mean - Don = biggest inspiration!
5 habits i want to pick up in 2015
5. Set an alarm to sleep
Living in a city that never sleeps, days with almost never seeing the sun, 9 hours in the office, seeing friends/play sports after work until 12-1-2am and etc. There is so much going on, sometimes I forget that i have been out and about the whole day and i am tired. But i dont sleep when my body is tired because the internet distracts me. I get tired the following day and the cycle continues.
I want to sleep before 11pm every night.
4. A destination I want to reach
I like yoga and i know if i practise more, i will love it. This is my closet dream - i want to be a Yoga instructor, but in order for me to reach that destination. I have to practise. This is applies for beginner runners who want to join marathons, Viper Challenge and etc. You would have to train your body before race day. Or anyone who has a destination to reach. You have to go through a journey to get there.
I want to create a journey for myself to correct my posture and poses to reach my destination to be a yoga instructor!3. Be aware of your surroundings
Sometimes we take our surroundings for granted. Living in Perth made me appreciative of the beach, clean air, fresh produce and the laid back lifestyle. I was relaxed, stress-free and more productive. I love how Don would drive out of his way, just to catch the sunset. Wake up early to go for a swim in the beach. Go for a walk because its a beautiful day.
I am going to take advantage of my surroundings. Go for early morning walks, coffee pick ups before work and maximise my day by waking up earlier.
2. Eat breakfast.
A cup of milo or coffee before work is not breakfast. I keep telling myself that but i always wake up with enough time for me to make my bed, shower, put on make up, decide what to wear and be at office sharp 10.30am. On days when i wake up early, i would do all of above and go back to bed for "nap" and then head to office.
1. Save Money
Well, this goes without saying. Currently i am going over my monthly expenditures with Perth trips, presents and Zalora's annual 12/12 sale. I dont think i am a big spender...
